Dominican Republic braces for Hurricane Irma

Islands of the northeast Caribbean, including Dominican Republic, are bracing for impact as Hurricane Irma churns its way over the Atlantic Ocean.

The powerful Category 5 storm with maximum sustained winds of 180 miles-per-hour has slightly intensified and is expected to strengthen through Wednesday night in Punta Cana, according to the National Hurricane Center.

The NHC advised since Monday that islands farther north, including the Leeward Islands, the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic, should monitor the progress of Irma.

Forecasts predict that the center of Irma will pass over or near Punta Cana by Thursday, with the potential to cause “life-threatening surf and rip current condition,” the NHC said.

During these days all the excursions will be cancelled for safety purpose. Customers who had already booked a tour with us will be receive the full refund on their cards.

Please be safe! Stay at your resort and don’t go out for any reason!

God bless us
