Flintstones Buggy Tour in Punta Cana from 50USD! | LPC Tours

Flintstones Adventure Buggies for just 50 USD !!!

YABBA DABBA DOOOO!!! Fasten your seat belts guys! Once again I have the chance to share with you the great experience I had trying a brand new buggy tour which I’m pretty sure will become soon a must do for all those people who are interested in discovering the hidden and most authentic side of the PIC BuggyDominican Republic, the WILD one that you’ll never see at your hotel!

The Flintstones Adventures Buggies is an exciting, funny, informative and eco-friendly excursion, 100% off-road, where you will immerse yourself in the local Dominican culture! You will discover the beauty of this magnificent country crossing for exotic path, remote landscape and plantations all while enjoying the “unique” sensation of driving a dune buggy and experiencing the Dominican nature.

11118292_10153223466759907_922863439_nThis amazing daily tour starts at the company ranch conveniently located in the heart of Bavaro (shortening the transportation time significantly compared with many others tours located in the north or south area of Punta Cana), with a 20-25 minutes pre-tour instruction for safety and operational details of the vehicles. Guests will be driving their own automatic buggy “caravan-style” following the tour guide who will lead the group. Guess what? These buggies are home made! and most importantly… made for fun! 11117842_10153223464864907_771469336_nThe company produces and assemble the pieces in the workshop inside the ranch. They have probably the newest dune buggies in Punta Cana and they have both 2-seaters and 5-seaters.

The “Flintstones Buggy Trail” has a length of 10kilometers (about 6.25miles) and takes you through a variety of vegetation and rock/hill-formations, it leads straight through the countryside and seeing some donkeys, cows, horses, sheep and pigs is guaranteed!

11146171_10153223465174907_2108501741_nAfter about 25minutes of driving (2kilometers before the caves) the tour has its first stop at a typical Dominican house and the local “colmado” (a small grocery store) where participants can taste some real Dominican coffee and cocoa and you can join local people from the countryside doing their daily shopping. It’s a wonderful experience and you feel like one of them! No one will ask you to buy anything (this tour is also 100% non-commercial) but if you need some food or local products you can take advantage as they have really cheap prices (no tourist traps!).

11131840_10153223464234907_1660369743_nAround 20 minutes later the tour will continue off-road and you will be surrounded with simply breathtaking views. You’ll travel past colorful houses and across the breathtaking landscape of banana plantations and farmland. This is the true Dominican Republic! Here the trail gets even more “rough” and “wild” and there are some spectacular views of the “cliffs” that have been formed during millions of years.

11124544_10153223464459907_1851797586_nThe tour continues until we arrive at the cave and let me say… what a cave!! First we enter the large cave (Fanstasy Cave) and walk almost to the end (about 300mtrs/900yards) through magnificent and huge illuminated stalactites and stalagmites. You will learn the legend of the “Hidden Princess” and her secrets! It’s important to say that this is not a public cave (so it’s accessible only with this tour) and it’s 100% authentic, therefore the path has bumps and uneven parts and is not straight; just minimum changes have been made so basically the cave keeps its natural authenticity like millions of years ago!

11139823_10153223463864907_591975311_nBut surprises are not finished yet. When we return and are almost at the beginning of the Fantasy Cave, we go up the stairs to Bedrock City! Bedrock City is another group of caves that are located above the large cave, a rare combination and therefore unique! Why the name Bedrock City? Well, here you see the villa of Fred Flintstone, the garage with the Flintstone Mobile, the Bedrock Gym, RocDonalds, an ancient ATM and the Bowl-O-Rama, based on the popular cartoon and the movie with John Goodman and Hale Berry. This part is definitely the most appreciated by the children! How to not agree?

11130569_10153223600244907_449503508_nAfter around 35 minutes spent inside the cave it’s already time to go back. With the sun in your face and the wind in your hair, in your open-air dune buggy back to the ranch.
Here the guests will have the opportunity to buy the pictures from the excursion (30 usd extra) and other souvenirs or enjoy the bar with it’s typical flavored Dominican drinks.

Wow! What a tour! Know how Dominican Republic really is on board of your buggy and enjoy the speed, the air, the sun. I’m sure you will have great moments during this tour….more, you’ll definitely have a blast!
